Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway – Integration with SKISENS
Log, control and analyze your Rodby treadmill sessions directly in SKISENS.
With the Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway, you connect Rodby running and rollerski treadmills to the
SKISENS system. All data – speed, incline, pole force, heart rate, body temperature and more –
is collected in real time in the SKISENS app and web platform. You can control the treadmill from the app,
program your own workouts and see live data seamlessly integrated with the SKISENS power meter.

Why integrate Rodby with SKISENS?
- Full control of the treadmill – control speed and incline directly from SKISENS.
- Centralized logging – all sessions on Rodby treadmills are stored in the same system as your outdoor workouts.
- Power measurement for cross-country skiing – combine treadmill data with SKISENS pole-force and power sensors.
- Standardized test protocols – repeat the same sessions over and over with exactly the same profile.

Rodby’s website.
Real-time data for optimized treadmill training
When the Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway is connected to the treadmill, data is continuously streamed into SKISENS.
You get a complete, synchronized timeline where all sensors are displayed together.
- Treadmill data: speed, incline, treadmill status
- Power and pole strokes: pole force left/right, frequency, contact time (via the SKISENS power meter)
- Body data: heart rate, body temperature, VO2 (via compatible sensors)
- Lactate and notes: log lactate values and comments per interval/block
Instead of separate files and different start times, everything is collected in a single view,
making it much easier to analyze and compare sessions over time.
App control and custom training protocols
With the SKISENS app you don’t only read data – you can also
control the Rodby treadmill directly from your phone and design sessions exactly the way you want them.
- Create blocks with work time, recovery, speed and incline
- Save your own protocols for tests, intervals and technique sessions
- Reuse and share workouts with athletes, coaches or test subjects
- Start the treadmill from the app – follow the planned profile in real time

SKISENS power meter – the heart of the analysis
The SKISENS power meter measures force and angle in the poles and converts this into
propulsive power for cross-country skiing. Together with Rodby treadmills you get a
controlled, lab-like setup where every watt and every pole stroke is measurable.
- Capacity – analyze peak power, threshold power and power curves across different time domains.
- Technique – study pole force, angle and contact time to refine your double-poling technique.
- Intensity control – control your sessions by power instead of relying only on heart rate.
- Coaching – follow development over time and identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Easy installation
How to connect Rodby and SKISENS via the Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway:
- Connect the gateway: connect the Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway to
the serial port of the computer that controls the Rodby treadmill (Trackmaster or equivalent). - Configure the port: adjust the serial port settings according to Rodby’s recommendations
(e.g. 4800 bps). - Activate the port listener: enable Rodby’s COM port listener so the gateway can read treadmill data.
- Pair with SKISENS: open the SKISENS app, connect to the Rodby SKISENS® Bluetooth Gateway via Bluetooth
and select which treadmill should be linked to the session.
